Summary
Stuck in a room–alone with nothing but ravenous thoughts, Rumination in Isolation captures the series of moments internally and moments of hesitation are played throughout. The concept comes from sitting in my apartment while writing down ideas on how to portray Ink with meaning. I did a series of experiments with the ink by playing with abstraction and used each experiment as a clipping mask of an ink droplet. Each droplet ruminates a portal of going into the thoughts and emotions of our daily lives. All of the text was written by me throughout this process.
Spreads

Object Experiments

Each experiment focuses on an abstract approach to each different emotions and textures. Ink spills, brushes, texture, and alignments of color focus on the balance of each of the spreads. Experiments help make the spreads expressive and abstract.
